Dr. Jiang received his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2005. Currently he is a Haitian Scholar (海天学者) and visiting professor in Dalian University of Technology, and a Senior Engineer and Technologist in the Monitoring and Diagnostics Center at General Electric Company, leading thermal performance monitoring, analytics, diagnostics, and prognostics of over 1,600 globally deployed gas turbines and steam turbines. From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Jiang was a lead engineer in the Condition Based Maintenance at GE Energy. Prior to joining GE, He was a Research Engineer at Ford Motor Company for one year, and a Post-doctoral Research Associate at Vanderbilt University from 2005 to 2007. Dr. Jiang’s technical background, publications, and research interests are in the diverse areas of condition based diagnostics, analytics, prognostics, risk and reliability analysis, performance monitoring, and model validation for engineering systems under uncertainties. His specialties include Bayesian statistics, advanced analytics, wavelet signal processing, and intelligent algorithms. Dr. Jiang has authored 1 book, 3 book chapters, and more than 60 research articles in the cross-disciplinary fields of computer science, engineering, and applied statistics. He is a recipient of a few patents, and has been invited to serve as a peer reviewer, editorial board, or associate editor for more than 40 different international journals and conferences.
